Say it the way it comes to you.
All three of us speak Hindi. Talk in Hindi, English or the mix most of us actually use. Some feelings are easier to say in the language you grew up with.
Why language matters in therapy
Many of us think in one language and feel in another. The words we heard at home, the way our families talk about stress, and the phrases that carry the weight are often in Hindi, even when work and college run in English.
In therapy, you shouldn't have to translate yourself. If a sentence comes out half in Hindi and half in English, that's exactly how it should be.
Talking about family, in the family's language
A lot of what people bring involves parents and relatives. Being able to repeat exactly what was said, in the words it was said in, often matters. So does practising how you'll say something difficult to them.
How it works

Questions people ask
Can I switch between Hindi and English?
Yes. Most people mix languages, and that's completely fine. Use whatever words come naturally.
Does it cost more?
No. Same prices: students ₹350–750 on a sliding scale, working professionals ₹1,000 flat.
Can a family member who only speaks this language join?
Talk to your therapist about it first. Sessions are usually one-to-one, but family can sometimes join if it helps.
