Questions people ask
How does online therapy work?
You book a 50-minute slot, pay your therapist by UPI, and we confirm on WhatsApp. At the time of your session, you join a video call from your phone or laptop.
What happens in the first session?
Your therapist will ask what brings you here, a bit about your life, and what you'd like to change. You don't need to prepare. "I don't know where to start" is a fine place to start.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you say stays between you and your therapist. The only exception is if we believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. Even then, we'll talk to you first wherever we can. We discuss cases with our clinical supervisor without names or identifying details. See our privacy policy.
How much does it cost?
Students pay ₹350–750 per session on a sliding scale. Working professionals pay ₹1,000 flat. See prices.
How do I pay?
By UPI, directly to your therapist, when you book. Send the screenshot on WhatsApp and we confirm your slot.
What languages do you offer?
English and Hindi with all three of us, Kannada with Saanya, and Konkani with Esha.
What if I don't click with my therapist?
Tell us. Fit matters, and we'll move you to one of the other two smoothly. You don't need a reason.
Do you prescribe medication or give diagnoses?
No. We're therapists, not psychiatrists. If medication or a diagnosis could help, we'll help you find a psychiatrist.
Do you see children or teenagers?
Not yet. We only see adults, 18 and over.
Do you offer couples therapy?
No. We offer individual sessions only.
What are your qualifications?
All three of us hold an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from Manipal, and we work under regular clinical supervision. Each therapist's profile lists their training.
Is online therapy as good as in-person?
For most of what people bring, like anxiety, stress, low mood and relationships, research finds online therapy works about as well as in-person. For a crisis, please use the emergency helplines.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Message us on WhatsApp as early as you can, and we'll sort it out with you.
Are you an emergency service?
No. If you're in danger right now, call 112 or Tele-MANAS 14416. See all emergency helplines.
